Tips for Installing and Using Mouse D-Fence® Guards
Although it is simple to install the guards there are a few things to keep in mind:
Be sure to match the ends evenly so they will sit level on the ground so that there are no gaps that mice could possibly crawl under. On concrete that is fairly simple, on gravel you may need to settle them in the gravel to prevent gaps.
When placing the hitch jack guard be sure to not let the chain hang over the guard, mice could possibly use the chain to crawl up. It is good practice to tuck the chain inside the guard.
Best practices to keep your camper mouse free:
Install the guards when you come home from a camping trip and leave them on until you are leaving for your next campout. This will ensure mice cannot enter your camper during non use. Always use Mouse D-Fence® during winter storage to protect your camper from extensive mouse damage.
Mouse D-Fence® guards are not intended to be used while camping:
While camping, the stabilizer jacks, electric cords, and steps all offer entryways for mice to use. We recommend the guards be used whenever the camper is not in use which is when mouse problems are most likely.
